NALAH CLEANING MACHINE

(NALAHMAN)

Maniar & Co. has spent many years focusing on providing solutions for tasks that require human effort, such as the cleaning of manholes. Their latest creation, "NALAHMAN," is an innovative machine designed for the effective cleaning of roadside open drains. Historically, these drains were cleaned either by hand or with Back-Hoe loaders (like JCBs), which are primarily intended for excavation. In a Back-Hoe loader, the operator sits in the center of the machine, offset from the drain, which can lead to the risk of damaging the side walls if they misjudge their position or lose control. Additionally, the silt removed from the drains is typically dumped on the ground and later collected by another agency. The NALAHMAN machine is available on a trailer chassis that can be towed by a minimum 35 HP tractor, as well as on a 4-wheeler Jeep or heavy truck chassis. The hydraulic power needed for operation is sourced from the tractor's P.T.O. through a propeller joint, while machines mounted on Jeep or truck chassis draw power from the vehicle's engine via P.T.O. The operation is fully hydraulic, controlled by a lever-operated valve located near the operator's seat. The telescopic side box section can be extended hydraulically for improved reach and visibility of the ditch or nalah. The boom features a 90° angle and is equipped with a ditch bucket that holds approximately 50 liters for collecting silt, mud, or sediment, which is then directly emptied into the trailer body attached to the chassis or vehicle. This design minimizes or eliminates the need for re-handling the collected silt, which can be dumped or emptied hydraulically at the designated disposal site.
